A bike ride to Savandurga
On 15th august we went to Savandurga on bikes. It was on Independence day and hence everyone was having holiday. Hari messaged me on 14th evening and told to go out somewhere and I agreed without thinking anything as I was too bored of routine life. Then I asked Jeda to join us, but he was supposed to go to Shimoga to attend some marriage function. I must tell he attends a lot of functions. Then Hari asked his colleagues and also asked Sadananda Bhatta. Bhatta is my friend since school days. Finally 6 of us were ready to go to Savandurga. We left at 9:00 Am from here as I had gone to play cricket till 9. Me and Hari left from our house and went to Kengeri. 2 Bhattas were waiting there. One Bhatta I knew from childhood days and another Bhatta I met him there. He was Hari’s friend. Then 2 more guys joined us. At may be 10 we left from Kengeri and directly headed towards Savandurga. We had plans to visit dodda aladamara and manchinbele dam while coming back. We reached Savandurga at around 12:20 pm and went to temple. After that we planned to trek that hill but some police constables did not allow us to climb the hill. There were some accidents in recent past and they did not allow us. We left from there towards manchinbele dam. After some 5-10 km we noticed that two guys were not with us. Nagesh and Ganapati were the guys who were not there when we noticed. We waited there for around 30-45 mins. Then Hari went back looking for them. Unfortunately nobody’s cell was having network coverage. After some more waiting we saw our two great guys coming back. When asked about their delay they told they were having lunch (Dasoha) at some temple. All 4 of us were so shocked that we could not react at that moment. Later we all laughed and headed towards Manchinbele dam. We reached the dam at around 3 after having lunch at some Dhaba. We did not reach the actual Dam location but we reached a place where all the water will be streamed. We were sitting at the shore and 2 guys dived into water to swim. Just few minutes’ later Tavrekere police came and started shouting. They did not leave us there anymore. We packed everything and headed towards DoddaAladaMara. That was the first time I saw that tree although it is present in Bangalore only. We were having tea and I got a call from my manager saying some Production issue. Anyway we were going home so I did not hurry up anything. We reached home by around 7 in the evening.
