Politics in Sports

For the first time in my life I am very sad that today the cricket team for which I play won their first match. Reason behind this is there were lot of virtual politicians playing and I was not in playing XI. The selection process was very simple, if you are experienced then you are in the team and if you look tall and big you are in the team. I am neither of them and I am an extra player. There is no entry for talent. In my life I have been playing cricket from probably LKG or UKG and till now I have never been treated this way. Here people treat me as a guy who does not know anything about cricket. I just do not give a damn for these losers. One more negative aspect in me is I really do not talk much with strangers and that really mattered much in selection process. I hardly played for an over or so in practice sessions and I was never really considered for bowling. People rarely gave me an opportunity to play in practice sessions. Anyway today was our team's first match and it was really a turnaround kind of match. There was an opportunity for both the team to win till the last ball and obviously I was supporting the opponents. Our team had scored 107 in 12 over and the opponents scored 106. It was a one run victory for our team. In the last over our opponents were in need of 6 runs; and in 4balls they required 3 runs; at that point I thought we will lose the game and was happy inside. In last 2 legal deliveries they needed 2 runs but the batsman dint even touched the last 2 deliveries. I was really pissed off to see the batsman leaving the ball without being able to even touch. And the last over was bowled by our team's captain whom i hate to the core. This loser is a PM and is having some 7 years experience. This is the only reason he is playing in the team and also leading the team. The most embarrassing part is this loser is starting the bowling with new ball. Usually new ball will be given to proper dedicated bowlers of the team and we had some 3-4 good bowlers. But this loser starts with bowling when the ball is having the shine. I am really disappointed with our team and I really want our team to lose all the coming matches.
