Indian cricket

After coming out of world cup in super eight level itself, there has been a big discussion going on in BB and people are talking bad about Dhoni's captaincy and Dhoni's fan club are defending our great Mr.CaptainCool. In my opinion the main reason for the poor show by Indians is the IPL and Advertisement. Players have already earned much more than what BCCI offer them and money matters a lot nowadays for everybody. And there are very less players who play for India truly and I am sure this small group of players includes Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid. I am not so old but still when I was in high school or even in college cricket was more of a sport than a business but from last 3-4 years this has changed. Cricket has become purely business now. Rich people are buying players and instructing them to do what they really meant for. I really do not know what Priety Zinta or Shilpa Shetty know about cricket. And these people tell professional players how to play. I read somewhere that if a player's team is sponsored by a brand then it is mandatory for all the players under that franchisee to do an ad for that brand. This means that if a player is a brand ambassador for some product and if his IPL team is sponsored by the rival brand then this player has to mandatory do an ad for that rival brand also. Of course this agreement is not so simple but the summary is the same. This IPL has really made a mixture of players and players really forgotten to play for their country reason behind this is as an individual they won’t get much in return. After watching IPL this world cup looks very plain in nature. There is no much publicity, less advertisement, no MRF blimp, no sehwag-gambir ad on big screen, no hype and list of no s continues. And these much things are absent in world cup because this tournament is about country's pride and not money. What i really mean is people should not just blame Dhoni for India's exit but they should really go deep into root cause and blame IPL. IPL has become more important than world cup nowadays and this has to change if we really want to win something big for nation.
