Option

In ILI sessions there was a session in which the lady who conducted the session was telling that we human beings have an option to choose in everything. only thing that varies is the time period we have to choose among the options differs; like if somebody scolds us we can think and react accordingly, if somebody slaps us then also we will be having so many options and we can choose the best reaction and react accordingly. What the session was aiming at was to tell that whatever we are today is because of us only and nobody else is responsible for that since we will be having an option to choose in each and every case. But what I think is nothing is in our hands and everything depends on the environment we grew up. After PU we were having an option to choose the college I agree and which college we will choose depends on the decision we take I totally agree. But this decision is controlled by the mindset we will be having at that point of time. For a same situation the decisions taken by one person may differ with other. This mindset comes from the background we are from and the circle of people we are having in our lives. for example if we are born and brought up in some big cities our way of thinking differs but if we are born and brought up in some village our way of thinking differs. The decision belongs to us only but why we take up some particular decision is dependent on many circumstances. So what I believe is the initial 10-15 years of our lives plays an important role in our whole life. All our decisions depend on the mindset we have at that moment. i have heard in Andhra Pradesh people trying for IIT are very high in number but in Tumkur we dint even bother to know the details of IIT. of course we knew doing BE in some IIT is far better than doing graduation in some ordinary college but nobody stressed the importance of it or we dint care for their words may be. In this case we did not think of IIT and it was our mistake only but that was the mindset we were having, in general people of some little town were having. There are many incidents in which case the reaction of one person differs with other for a same situation. I am still not convinced that for everything we are only responsible and I strongly believe that the way we are brought up is the only base upon which everything else depends.
