Its very well known fact that youngsters in the team do not want any of the senior players in the playing 11. Also everybody knows that dhoni never praises Sachin, ganguly or dravid but sachin’s innings in yesterdays match was not at all ignorable. Dhoni told it was a mental battle and india lost it but what I do not understand is if the present team donot have a player who is capable of staying in crease and just rotate the strike then why the hell did the selectors drop dravid. Even ganguly for that matter. Ganguly’s final year average was much more than the average of his entire career then also he was left out of the team for no reasons. Our selectors are concentrating on 2011 world cup and hence giving more opportunities for youngsters but they are not getting the fact that the so called youngsters in the present team just want one or two advertisement offers and not an opportunity to wear the Indian cap. These so called youngsters do not know the meaning of the word passion or patriotism rather they have made researches in media, publicity stunts and stuff like that. Today the players are concentrating on making money instead of the game. They just want to get noticed every time. In yesterdays match gambir, yuvraj and dhoni got out in such a short span that it was like a turning point of the match. It almost doubled the pressure Sachin was handling. Yet he managed to show some light of victory till the last ball of his innings. 175 from 141 deliveries was like one of the best innings played by any player and yet that did not impress our mr.captainCool. come on captain it does not matter whether u praise the God or not he remains the best batsman of all times. Also I really do not understand why a player who plays so well in domestic cricket fails to make an impact in international level. Take for example manish pandey. He has just scored 194 against Uttar Pradesh in ranaji trophy but in IPL he was an utter flop player, manoj tiwary was a match winner for his state but dint shine in international level. If at all they play well in the initial few matches they donot perform once they come into the limelight. Ishant Sharma was bowling at an average speed of 145kmph in his initial few matches but now he has lost all his stamina and pace also. Why are these people think they have done everything just when they have entered into international stage? Wake up guys this is just the beginning of your career not the ultimate destination. I mean they play so well till they reach the international level but why do they lose that passion afterwards. I am really not able to understand the mentality of so called youngsters
