Tumkur

As soon as I hear a word called ‘tumkur’ my ears start paying more attention towards that voice. Reason being it is the place where I have grown up there only. From 1st standard till joining Infosys in November last year I have stayed in tumkur. Tumkur is very calm town and there is no much traffic and pollution like in bangaluru. Geographically it is 68km from Bangalore in north-west direction. Tumkur is a compact town where we can get everything necessary. Not like we get everything available on earth but whatever is necessary we will get it over there. There are 5 engineering colleges in tumkur which are; Siddaganga Institute of technology, Shree Siddhartha institute of technology, HMSIT, CIT, Sridevi Institute of Technology. For gully cricket players there are many playgrounds are there unlike bengaluru. For movie freaks there are good theatres like maruthi theatre, gayatri theatre, Krishna theatre etc are there. Of course there are no multiplexes like in any other big cities but watching movies in ordinary theatres doesn’t change the story line of the movie I guess. Sadly there are no big parks present there. Older people usually spend there evening chatting in fields like sarvodaya field or in govt high school field. Nowadays living in big cities will make our lives confined to same routine everyday. That’s how we become mechanical robots gradually forgetting to LIVE our life. Big cities will surely force us to forget our personal life but living in places like tumkur we will be having opportunity to know ourselves better and enjoy the life in a proper way.
