Love Season

A girl in a cubicle behind mine is crying now since a guy proposed her. The guy is her colleague and loves her from past one year it seems. I do not know anything about the girl or the guy but this is what her friends are telling and convincing her. First of all I want to know whether proposing a girl hurts them, why should she be crying. The guy who proposed her and lost her should feel bad. Anyway this is completely different from what I intend to write now. Actually the one which happened just now is the third case I am hearing in recent past. The other two being of my close friends' love story. Almost all of my friends are getting committed or already committed. Is their age impacting them a lot? Recently I heard a love story of my close friends. In this case I witnessed a total shocker, the girl who always used to tell me that she would get married to a person whom her parents select and who was very much determined that she will not search a guy for herself has accepted a proposal. Recently I was talking with my friend regarding these stories and she was telling what is happening is very good since nowadays we cannot trust a guy or a girl whom our parents select and all. What she told was also correct in many ways. Usually parents look for a guy/girl who hails from a good family background; parents never really think much about the nature of guy/girl. They are always under the impression that the particular guy/girl will be having same nature as his/her parents'. I am not sure whether this particular reason is forcing all the people to find their so called life partners themselves. And more commonly nowadays parents are also not opposing their children's decision if they assure them that they will get married to that person. Nowadays people are leading a hectic life and this makes them neglect their personal life. And this is the reason people started losing trust in moral values, society and stuff like that. When they do not believe in these things they will not be hesitant to cultivating bad habits which gives them temporary relief from this hectic life. So almost all people who are leading hectic life will be having one or the other addiction. So people have lost trust in their parents’ selection and started looking for a partner themselves. There are lots of cases where the arranged marriage has been broken and the couples are living separately. Everything is making a negative impact on people of my age group. I just hope that these people live happily with the person they have chosen.

Love/Arranged Marriages

Few days back I was discussing about marriages in India and the discussion was mainly on whether to get married to a person whom we find ourselves or to a person whom our parents find. In both the cases we have to compromise on many things and in both the case after compromise also we are not assured that the partner is right for us. In arranged marriage, we will marry a person whom our parents decide. Our parents chooses a person on various criteria like his/her family, his/her current job, his/her current salary, his/her economic condition, his/her horoscope and all non-sense stuff which really doesn’t matter. These things do matter but according to me the only thing a person should look in his partner are his/her thinking patterns. Parents give much more importance to the family, and in this case i am totally against to their thinking. Crazy Movie-Marathon

If someone asks, ‘what is the one thing you have done which you will probably never do?’ I would say this. Yesterday (2/24/2018) I watched 4 movies back to back in theatre. If I think I would be shocked myself. Fuck me what the hell was that, 4 movies I mean seriously??? Yes, I watched it and to add more I watched all 4 movies sitting in 2 nd row from the screen in the same hall, same place. Now Oscar fever is going on everywhere and AMC theatres are playing Oscar nominated movies back to back on 2 consecutive Saturdays. First Saturday 4 movies would be played, and second Saturday 5 remaining movies would be played. We just have to buy a day pass and watch all the movies played on that day. Yesterday they played ‘Phantom Thread’ at 10:30 AM, ‘Lady Bird’ 1:00 PM, ‘Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’ at 3:00 PM and ‘The shape of water’ at 6:00 PM.
